A Study on the Influence of Korean’s Welfare Attitudes on Their Consent of Strengthening Public Health Insurance Policies

|
The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors affecting consent to the strengthening of the public role of health insurance policy using representative national data, To provide basic data for policy. For the analysis, welfare recognition data of the 8th year of the Korea Welfare Panel Study was used and 4,185 adults aged 19 years or older were used for final analysis. First, analysis was conducted to determine whether there was a difference in the consent of the strengthening public health insurance policy according to demographic background and socioeconomic status. Next, the impact of demographic background, socioeconomic status and welfare attitude on the consent of strengthening of public health insurance policy was analyzed through ordered logistic regression analysis and binary logistic regression analysis. As a result, the demographic background and socioeconomic status did not show a consistent trend although only some variables had a significant effect on the consent of strengthening public health insurance policy. Also, although the overall welfare attitude has pro-welfare oriented, it often appears that th not agree to strengthening public health insurance policy. Based on the results of the research, I suggested policy tasks to draw public consent of strengthening public health insurance policy.
